Who is Shannon Dauphin?
Shannon
Dauphin has been in the publishing game for more than a decade. Her
literary life began at the age of fourteen with her first published
story. She saw several other short stories published
throughout her teenage years, and finally started on her first book in
college.Twelve years later, she has yet to finish that book –
others came along and took precedence, but she’s determined
that
first one will be finished. Someday.
Shannon’s educational background includes degrees in
Historical Research and Literature. Over the years she has worked as an
editor,
editorial assistant, proofreader, copywriter, web editor, columnist,
publisher, songwriter, freelance
writer, and professional researcher. As a ghostwriter, she has penned
everything from cookbooks to horror novels. Now an accomplished
novelist in multiple
genres and a budding screenwriter, Shannon is ready to tackle the
romance genre
with her first contemporary romance novel, Carolina
Hurricane.
When Shannon
isn’t writing, she’s probably in the kitchen,
covered in flour and consulting cookbooks. She loves to work in the
garden and
shop for antiques. She enjoys visits to historical sites, takes long
drives
down the Natchez Trace Parkway, and explores quirky places off the
beaten path.
Most of her travels eventually wind up as settings for her novels.
Shannon is happily married to journalist and radio personality Chuck Dauphin. They have a handful of children, far too many pets, and an historic turn-of-the-century home in Centerville, Tennessee.
